It's beginning to look a lot like winter

Hello again! I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I spent it with my loved ones, making food, and being general merry makers. Onwards to the next holiday and the new year! This Christmas season, I'll be singing for a wedding, and lending my voice to multiple choirs at multiple churches for X-Mas Eve. Myself, and others from the community, already had an opportunity to lend our voices to the local charity event "Christmas for Keokuk", held last Sunday. It's been really nice getting together in a choral setting, outside of my usual small church choir, to sing both traditional and non for many at the concert. I think my favorite song was the carol "Throw the Yule Log on, Uncle John" by P.D.Q. Bach.

What I'm really excited about is my plans for 2017. I'll be honest, I'm on the side of folks that are not happy with the U.S. election results. So, what I'm going to do is donate more money to more charities that I think are currently in need, and will be in need. #NoDAPL has been my go to this December. They still need funds to fight, so if you have a little extra, please send it to those peaceful protestors fighting for clean water while the midwestern winter rages. Donate HERE.

I'm also going to be choosing new charities to make a donation to each month. I'll update those monthly here, and on my newest endeavor, Patreon.

If you aren't familiar with what Patreon is, it harkens back to the days of old, when all musicians and artists were funded by the public, or by patrons who believed in their work. Or something like that. I believe some of the most notable composers had patrons. Basically, you'll be paying me for my works, like you would when you buy my CD or shirt.

I'll be embarking on a 52 week challenge, using Patreon as my main posting ground, with this website being a close second. Every Friday, I'll post a new original song. Depending on certain criteria, you may be able to get the download of the song right away. In addition to that, I'll be posting other art projects on Wednesdays and cover songs on Mondays. Oh yeah! I'm really tackling 2017 head on. You can join me on Patreon HERE.

To all of you, I wish you happiest of holidays. Whether you celebrate, Christmas, or Chanukah, or Kwanzaa, or Omisoka, or Yule, or any another holiday, I hope that you find cheer and love.

Happy Holidays, from my cat in a lil hat.

Meowy Howlidays!
