I cut my hair and wrote a new ep

Hi everyone,

I hope you're all hanging in there. I feel like the month of March is always the hardest, because it's still winter, but I want it to be spring so badly.

Since my last post, I cut my hair. It wasn't dramatic or traumatic. Just needed to lose all the dead, gross, dyed bits that were getting seemingly harder to brush. It looks pretty good.

Oh yeah, I also got new glasses, that according to my sister, makes me "look like a mom". I think I look like that late 80's/early 90's guy that hasn't quite caught on to fashion.

In other news, I'm still working away on the new full length album. I started the rough draft of the special edition art book that will come out at the same time. I commissioned 10 artists to create a piece based on a song from the album. Those pieces are reaching their way to me one by one, and i've been putting them in the book with the lyrics. The book will come with a CD, and maybe a poster. I haven't figured that out yet. It's really looking cool.

just a peek

In the next two weekends, I'll be recording the final instruments for the album, mixing, and sending the tracks off to mastering. Then, it's time to go to the vinyl pressing plant. I'm so excited for this step. I never thought I'd get the chance to create vinyl, but now's the time!

In the meantime, aka the past couple weeks, I wrote a new ep that is way different than anything I've done before. I'll be releasing it under the name Cancer/Leo. It's a 5 song darkwave/goth album, that mixes electronic and digital with acoustic guitar and ghostly vocals. I'm releasing this babe on March 30th, but my Patreon patrons will get it first, a week prior.

I wrote this for a show I'm playing in April, because in September, I told myself that I wasn't going to play anymore solo shows until I finished the new album. Well, the new album isn't done yet, and I don't want to go back on that promise to myself, so why not just start a whole new band and perform that instead. Right?

Here's my upcoming shows, in all my different bands:
